ANMAC IELTS and OET Test Score Changes
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) has announced changes to English language requirements for skills assessments from 1 July 2016.
This is excellent news for candidates in the medical professions (nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, dentistry, radiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology and veterinary science).
The changes will accept an increased testing providers and allow the results from more than one test to be used within specific guidelines.
The following important changes will apply to IELTS and OET test results and will be accepted from 1 July 2016:
IELTS (Academic module)
ANMAC will accept test results from one test sitting OR a maximum of two test sittings, in a six-month period if the applicant achieves:
a) a minimum overall score of 7 in each sitting;
AND
b) no score in any component of the test is below 6.5.
OET
ANMAC will accept test results from one test sitting OR a maximum of two test sittings, in a six-month period if the applicant:
a) is tested in all four components in each sitting;
AND
b) no score in any component of the test is below C.
